JULY 4th, 2013 Happy Independence Day!
Bull shit! Now prepare to be offended all you sheep that really feel this is freedom from taxes, as well as freedoms under our United States Constitution. Let me explain to all you dumb sheep in AmeriKa that your no longer free to do anything at all without permission from some nut case that has or thinks they have more power than you!
A study done by Privacy International back in 2007 ranked the United States among the worst offenders of privacy rights. In fact, the study concludes the U.S. “is the worst ranking county in the democratic world,” playing second fiddle only to countries like China and Russia. China and Russia don’t exactly bring to mind glowing pictures of a surveillance-free life. Something more along the lines of Yakov Smirnoff’s “In Soviet Russia…” joke comes to mind. How can our nation call itself the “Land of the Free” if the privacy of our citizens is given the same level of disregard as in Russia and China? If the state of our privacy rights was this bad in 2007, I shudder to think how the U.S. would rank if another study were done today.
What so many people forget is that our privacy, while it is a natural, God-given right to begin with, is protected under the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution:
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
In school we learned the main purpose of the Fourth Amendment was the protection of the rights of criminals against warrantless searches and arrests. But the reality is that the Founding Fathers intended the Fourth Amendment to protect against the very kind of surveillance and government overreach found in these NSA programs. The NSA has neither the probable cause nor the warrant to watch every American for “national security” reasons. For those of you who may say, “I have nothing to hide, let them look,” imagine your parents had installed a cell-phone tracking device (like this) on your phone. They now have the ability to see who you call, when you call, and where you are when you call for every single phone call you make. Creepy, isn’t it? The NSA already has this ability for every Verizon customer (although we’d be naïve to think that the other major carriers haven’t been asked to make a similar deal).
One of the more disturbing conclusions we can make from the NSA scandal is that the U.S. government has decided to treat every United States citizen as a suspect in the War on Terror. America is the leader of the free world. We have a duty to ourselves and to the world to keep that beacon of freedom alive. If we continue to allow our government to attack our civil liberties in such an egregious manner, the terrorists have won. They have won without firing a single shot.
Why does the US government need 5 huge warehouses to store secret
information. The citizens can bear the truth, government cover ups
are not necessary in this day and age.
We are now the most bureaucratized nation on earth. We have bureaus for everything
plus city, county, township and state laws to leave nothing free.
Yes. Edward Snowden is a guard of U.S. constitution. Our government has no right to break the Constitution. American people don’t like any excuse such as “National Security”.
Of course it’s a free country. The government is free to listen in on your calls and collect your emails. The government is free to trample on your civil liberties based solely on your religious and political affiliation. The government is free to sell arms to the very terrorists we were at war with up until last year. The government is free to take away your rights to own guns. The government is free to target journalists who take their job serious and don’t lob softballs for the president.
Freedom is a made up word. We are all slaves to someone .your job is slavery . We all have to work for peanuts.and follow the laws that someone else makes without fail.or go to prison is that freedom.
Just to get your attention once again with some information that the news will never tell you about. Remember anything this old man has to say is his own words as well as his own opinion. Like it or not and to be honest I could care less! After all this is a public form and I don’t mean face book, but the whole internet is a public form. But, of sheep that read this your not very bright so take what I say as you will!
Complain to firstname.lastname@example.org Maybe get a reply in public of course as nothing is a secret with me, not even government information!
Many states are aggressively seizing “unclaimed” safe deposit boxes and are selling off the contents and using the money to pay state government bills. In the state of California, they are now going after safe deposit boxes if the owners have had “no contact” with the bank for just 3 years. Other states are being nearly as aggressive. If you have a safe deposit box that you have not opened in a while you need to go check on it right away.
One Mississippi state judge recently issued an order for state officials to gather and deliver to him the names of every single child that is being homeschooled in the state. The frightening thing is that the judge did this all on his own. Nobody requested this information and there is no case pending for which this information would be required.
In Delaware, police and state government officials recently tore a basketball hoop right out of a family’s front yard and carted it away because it was “too close” to the street. They even extracted the pole for the basketball hoop out of the ground and took that away too.
Would you like to have your face scanned and your ID recorded every time you attend a public event? Don’t laugh. The San Francisco Entertainment Commission is actually proposing a new rule which “would require all venues with an occupancy of over 100 people to record the faces of all patrons and employees and scan their ID’s for storage in a database which they must hand over to law enforcement on request.”
At one public school in the Chicago area, children have been banned from bringing their lunches from home. Yes, you read that correctly. Students at that particular school are absolutely prohibited from bringing lunches from home. Instead, it is mandatory that they eat the food that the school cafeteria serves.
In the state of New York, the Department of Health has designated wiffle ball, dodge ball, kick ball, freeze tag, red rover, frisbee tossing and tug of war as “risky recreational activities“. Any organization or program that allows kids to enjoy these games during the summer will now be subject to strict government regulation according to the New York Daily News….
The devices, sold by a company called Cellebrite, can download text messages, photos, video, and even GPS data from most brands of cell phones. The handheld machines have various interfaces to work with different models and can even bypass security passwords and access some information.
According to the ACLU, state police in Michigan are using “extraction devices” to download data from the cellphones of motorists that they pull over. This is taking place even if those pulled over are not accused of doing anything wrong.
Does anyone out there still believe that we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave?
This is how all AmeriKan’s should be flying the flag of the United States. the meaning of this is a Distress sign as most veteran’s know. I know of no worst distress than what American is facing today!
